Role Description The Associate Software Engineer is a full-time, remote role responsible for assisting in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications and back-end services. Day-to-day tasks include implementing features, fixing bugs, writing clean and maintainable code, and participating in code reviews under the guidance of senior engineers. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional team members, working with APIs and databases, and contributing to technical documentation. The Associate Software Engineer is expected to follow best practices in software development, learn new technologies as needed, and support continuous improvement of engineering processes.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development principles.
Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
Experience or coursework in Back-End Web Development, including APIs and databases.
Ability to write clean, well-documented, and testable code.
Familiarity with at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript).
Understanding of version control tools such as Git.
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Willingness to learn new technologies, frameworks, and tools in a fast-evolving environment.
