Role Description This full-time remote Database Developer role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining database solutions that support EgoTECHworld’s applications and internal systems. The Database Developer will create and optimize database schemas, write and refine queries and stored procedures, and collaborate with developers and stakeholders to ensure data models meet business requirements. Daily responsibilities include monitoring database performance, troubleshooting issues, implementing data security and backup strategies, and supporting integration projects. The role also involves working with ETL processes to move, transform, and consolidate data, as well as contributing to documentation and continuous improvement of database standards and practices.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Database Development and Database Design to build scalable, reliable data structures.
Experience with Database Administration, including performance tuning, backup/recovery, and security management.
Hands-on expertise in Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and tools to integrate and transform data across systems.
Well-developed Analytical Skills to interpret data requirements, diagnose issues, and optimize queries and workflows.
Proficiency with SQL and at least one major relational database platform (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle).
Familiarity with version control systems and collaborative development practices.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage priorities, and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with cloud databases or data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
