Role Description The Go Developer will work full time in a remote capacity, designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and microservices using Go (Golang). Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean and efficient code, implementing APIs, integrating with databases and third-party services, and optimizing application performance and scalability. The role involves participating in code reviews, collaborating with cross-functional teams on architectural decisions, troubleshooting production issues, and improving existing systems. The Go Developer will also contribute to documentation, follow secure coding practices, and help refine development workflows and tooling.
Qualifications
Strong programming skills in Go (Golang), with experience building APIs, microservices, or backend systems.
Experience with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), data modeling, and efficient query design.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization/orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development practices.
Understanding of networking fundamentals, RESTful services, and secure, scalable system design.
Ability to write clear technical documentation and work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with testing frameworks, performance profiling, and monitoring tools is a plus.
