Role Description The Junior Web System Developer is a full-time remote role focused on supporting the design, development, and maintenance of web-based systems and applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with coding and implementing new features, debugging and resolving issues, and collaborating with senior developers to improve system performance. The role involves working with databases, performing basic testing to ensure quality and stability, and contributing to documentation for code, systems, and processes. The Junior Web System Developer will also participate in code reviews, learn new tools and frameworks, and support cross-functional teams to deliver secure and efficient web solutions.
Qualifications
Ability to work with System Development and Software Development principles to support web-based solutions.
Foundational Programming skills (e.g., JavaScript, Python, or similar) for implementing and maintaining application logic.
Basic experience with Databases, including designing schemas, writing queries, and managing data securely.
Knowledge of Testing practices, such as unit and integration testing, to help ensure system reliability.
Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, REST APIs) and modern development practices.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to follow coding standards and documentation guidelines.
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a remote, distributed team environment.
Relevant coursework, certification, or a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
