Role Description The Software Programmer is a full-time remote role responsible for designing, coding, testing, and maintaining software applications and back-end web services. Day-to-day tasks include implementing new features, resolving bugs, optimizing performance, and collaborating with other developers and stakeholders to translate technical requirements into reliable solutions. The role involves writing clean, well-documented code, participating in code reviews, and contributing to software architecture discussions. The Software Programmer will also help improve development processes, follow best practices in version control, and stay current with relevant programming tools and frameworks.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development principles.
Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
Experience with Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with modern programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/Node.js) is an advantage.
Understanding of software testing practices and basic security principles is beneficial.
