Role Description The Visual Basic Software Developer is a full-time remote role responsible for designing, coding, testing, and maintaining applications and tools built with Visual Basic. Day-to-day tasks include writing efficient and secure code, creating and optimizing macros, debugging and resolving software issues, and collaborating with other developers and stakeholders to refine requirements. The developer will document technical specifications, participate in code reviews, and ensure that solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business needs. The role also involves analyzing existing systems, proposing improvements, and supporting end users with technical guidance and troubleshooting.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Visual Basic and general Programming skills for building and maintaining applications.
Candidates should possess solid Software Development skills, including understanding of development life cycles, testing, and deployment.
Candidates should possess Macro development skills to automate processes and enhance productivity within existing tools.
Candidates should possess Analytical Skills to interpret requirements, diagnose issues, and optimize performance.
Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Access) and integrating Visual Basic with data sources is beneficial.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development practices is preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional team environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
