Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a System Engineer at EgoTECHworld. The System Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining reliable and secure systems and infrastructure to support internal teams and client environments. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring system performance, managing system configurations, performing regular maintenance, and ensuring high availability and scalability. The role involves diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams on new solutions, and documenting system architectures, procedures, and incident resolutions. System Engineer will also participate in continuous improvement initiatives, contribute to automation efforts, and support knowledge sharing through best practices and technical guidance. Qualifications Strong Systems Engineering and Systems Design skills to architect, implement, and optimize secure, scalable infrastructure solutions. Proficiency in System Administration and Troubleshooting to manage servers, operating systems, and services, and to resolve system incidents efficiently. Hands-on experience in Technical Support to assist internal stakeholders and clients with system-related issues and provide clear, solution-focused guidance. Solid understanding of networking, security best practices, and cloud or virtualization platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, VMware, or similar). Familiarity with scripting or automation tools (such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, or configuration management tools) to streamline operations. Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote, distributed team. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Linux, AWS, Cisco, or similar) are a plus.
