Role Description This is a full-time, remote role for a Laravel Developer. The Laravel Developer will design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Laravel, ensuring scalable, secure, and performant applications. Day-to-day tasks include writing clean, reusable code, integrating third-party services, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing existing features. The role also involves collaborating with front-end developers and designers to deliver end-to-end solutions, participating in code reviews, and contributing to technical documentation. The Laravel Developer will work closely with cross-functional teams to refine requirements, estimate development efforts, and continuously improve development workflows and standards. Qualifications Strong back-end web development skills, including Laravel and related PHP frameworks. Proficiency in object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns. Experience with front-end development fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and integrating front-end with backend APIs. Solid foundation in general software development practices, including version control (Git), testing, and debugging. Practical programming skills with a focus on clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and query optimization. Familiarity with RESTful APIs, authentication/authorization, and security best practices. Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly with distributed teams. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience is preferred. Experience in agile or iterative development environments is an advantage.
