Information Technology manager

Role Description The Information Technology Manager is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing the company’s IT operations, infrastructure, and systems. In this position, you will manage and support networks, servers, cloud environments, and business applications to ensure reliability, security, and performance. You will coordinate and prioritize IT projects, collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand technical needs, and implement solutions that align with business objectives. Daily tasks include monitoring system health, managing incident and problem resolution, maintaining documentation, and coordinating with vendors or service providers when needed. You will also define and enforce IT policies, support cybersecurity practices, guide software and hardware upgrades, and provide leadership and mentorship to IT team members. Qualifications Strong experience managing IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud platforms, and business applications. Proficiency in IT operations, including system monitoring, incident management, backup and recovery, and access control. Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, including endpoint protection, identity and access management, and data protection. Experience planning and executing IT projects, including requirements gathering, implementation, testing, and change management. Ability to document systems, procedures, and configurations clearly and maintain accurate technical records. Demonstrated leadership skills, including mentoring team members, delegating tasks, and collaborating across functions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in a remote environment. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical topics for non-technical stakeholders. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft, AWS, or similar) are beneficial. Prior experience in a remote or distributed team environment is an advantage.
