Role Description As a Junior Software Engineer at Egotechworld, you will work full time in a remote capacity, collaborating with a distributed engineering team. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include writing clean, maintainable code, assisting in the development and maintenance of back-end web services, and contributing to software features under the guidance of senior engineers. You will participate in code reviews, help troubleshoot and debug issues, and support testing efforts to ensure high-quality releases. The role also involves documenting technical designs, learning and applying best practices in software engineering, and continuously expanding your skills through team feedback and internal resources. Qualifications Strong foundational knowledge in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and basic software engineering principles. Practical experience or coursework in Software Development and Programming, with familiarity in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or similar). Understanding of Back-End Web Development concepts, such as APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks. Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and ability to apply them in designing and implementing code. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment, with clear written and verbal communication skills. Basic familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile or iterative development practices. Interest in learning new technologies, openness to feedback, and commitment to writing reliable, testable code.
