Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a User Interface Engineer. The User Interface Engineer will design, develop, and maintain intuitive, accessible, and responsive user interfaces for web and/or mobile applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include translating product requirements and wireframes into high-quality UI components, collaborating with UX designers and backend engineers, and implementing consistent design systems and style guides. The role involves optimizing interfaces for performance and usability, conducting regular UI testing and troubleshooting issues, and iterating on designs based on user feedback and analytics. The engineer will also contribute to code reviews, documentation, and best practices that support scalable, maintainable front-end architecture. Qualifications Strong proficiency in modern UI development technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and at least one front-end framework (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular). Experience collaborating with UX and product teams to translate wireframes, mockups, and design systems into functional user interfaces. Knowledge of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and web accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG, ARIA). Familiarity with performance optimization techniques, debugging tools, and front-end build tools or package managers (e.g., Webpack, Vite, npm, Yarn). Comfort working with APIs and integrating UI with backend services in partnership with backend engineers. Proficiency with design collaboration tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) and version control systems such as Git. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver high-quality work in a remote, collaborative environment. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience in agile or iterative development environments and an interest in staying current with emerging UI technologies and best practices.
