Role Description The Junior Software Engineer is a full-time, remote role focused on supporting the design, development, and maintenance of software and web applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, efficient code, implementing back-end features and APIs, fixing bugs, and assisting in testing and debugging. The role involves collaborating with senior engineers on technical solutions, participating in code reviews, and contributing to documentation and basic system design discussions. The Junior Software Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that technical solutions meet user and business requirements while following established development standards and best practices. Qualifications Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and basic software engineering principles. Skills in Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C#). Understanding of Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks. Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and ability to apply them in practical projects. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Ability to learn quickly, take feedback constructively, and work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment. Basic familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and agile or iterative development practices. Clear written and verbal communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
