Role Description The Java Software Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and microservices used across EgoTECHworld’s product and solution portfolio. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing new features, improving existing code, debugging and resolving issues, and collaborating with other engineers, product managers, and QA specialists. The engineer will work with the Spring Framework and related technologies to build scalable, secure, and maintainable systems, and will participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and documentation efforts. This is a full-time remote role, requiring effective communication, reliable delivery of work, and alignment with team processes in a distributed environment.
Qualifications
Strong Java and general Programming skills, with experience writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
Hands-on experience with Software Development practices, including version control, CI/CD, and agile methodologies.
Knowledge of Microservices architecture and related patterns, including service communication, scalability, and resilience.
Experience with the Spring Framework (e.g., Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security) for building backend services.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs, relational or NoSQL databases, and basic cloud concepts (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively across time zones.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to writing reliable, secure, and efficient code.
Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and monitoring tools is a plus.
