Role Description The Associate Software Developer is a full-time remote role responsible for assisting in the design, development, and maintenance of software applications and back-end web services. Day-to-day tasks include writing clean, efficient code, troubleshooting and debugging issues, participating in code reviews, and implementing enhancements based on requirements and feedback. The role involves collaborating with senior developers and cross-functional teams, contributing to technical documentation, and following best practices in version control and software development life cycles. The Associate Software Developer is expected to learn new tools and frameworks as needed, support testing and deployment activities, and help ensure the reliability and performance of delivered solutions.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
Practical experience or coursework in Software Development and Programming, with proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#, JavaScript).
Knowledge of Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and ability to apply OOP principles to real projects.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and basic software development lifecycle practices.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Effective written and verbal communication skills and willingness to collaborate in distributed teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Exposure to cloud platforms, testing frameworks, or front-end technologies is a plus.
