Role Description The Software Quality Assurance Tester role is a full-time, remote position responsible for ensuring the reliability and accuracy of software products before release. Day-to-day tasks include planning and executing test cases, identifying and documenting defects, and verifying fixes across multiple platforms and environments. The tester collaborates closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements, maintain test coverage, and support continuous improvement of testing processes. The role also involves creating and maintaining test documentation, performing regression and functional testing, and providing clear, data-driven feedback on software quality. This position requires strong attention to detail, consistency in test execution, and a commitment to delivering high-quality user experiences.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Test Execution and hands-on Software Quality Assurance.
Candidates should possess foundational capabilities in Software Quality and Quality Assurance practices.
Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret results, identify trends, and troubleshoot issues.
Relevant experience with functional, regression, and integration testing, including use of common testing tools.
Ability to write clear test cases, defect reports, and documentation, with strong written communication skills.
Experience working in remote, cross-functional teams and using collaboration platforms and issue-tracking systems.
Familiarity with software development lifecycles (e.g., Agile or Scrum) and basic understanding of version control tools.
Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
