Role Description The Information Technology Specialist is a full-time remote role responsible for supporting and maintaining the company’s and clients’ IT environments. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring and managing networks, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, and ensuring secure and reliable system performance. The role involves configuring hardware and software, implementing network security measures, and documenting processes and solutions. The specialist will collaborate with internal teams and external clients, provide responsive customer service, and contribute to continuous improvement of IT infrastructure, tools, and practices. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Information Technology knowledge and hands-on experience with general IT systems and tools. Candidates should possess skills in Network Administration and Network Security to manage, configure, and protect network infrastructure. Candidates should possess effective Troubleshooting abilities to diagnose, analyze, and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues. Candidates should possess solid Customer Service skills to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and provide user-focused support. Relevant skills such as system configuration, basic scripting or automation, and familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) are beneficial. Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment are required. A degree or certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) is preferred.
