Role Description The Software Quality Assurance Engineer is a full-time remote role responsible for ensuring that EgoTECHworld’s software products meet defined quality standards before release. This role involves designing and executing manual test cases, identifying defects, documenting issues clearly, and collaborating closely with developers and product teams to resolve problems. The engineer will participate in requirement reviews, contribute to test planning, and help refine acceptance criteria to improve product reliability and user experience. Daily activities include regression testing, functional and integration testing, tracking test results, and maintaining accurate test documentation and reports. The role also includes suggesting improvements to processes, tools, and workflows to strengthen overall software quality and support continuous delivery.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Software Quality and Software Quality Assurance to define, implement, and maintain quality standards across projects.
Candidates should possess skills in Quality Assurance processes and methodologies, including test planning, test case design, and defect management.
Candidates should possess experience in Manual Testing techniques, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
Candidates should possess foundational understanding of Software Development concepts to effectively collaborate with engineering teams and interpret technical requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Familiarity with test management and bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, or similar) and basic knowledge of version control systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to document findings in a clear and structured manner.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a remote, cross-functional team environment.
Experience with basic automation concepts, scripting, or continuous integration tools is a plus.
