Role Description The Java Software Engineer role is a full-time remote position focused on designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications and services. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, efficient, and testable code, implementing and maintaining microservices, and integrating applications with other systems using the Spring Framework and related tools. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, participate in code reviews, and troubleshoot issues to ensure high performance and reliability of software solutions. The role also involves contributing to technical documentation, improving development processes, and staying current with best practices and emerging technologies in Java and cloud-native development.
Qualifications
Strong software development skills, including experience with software design, implementation, and debugging.
Proficiency in Java and core programming concepts such as object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
Hands-on experience with the Spring Framework and related technologies for building enterprise and web applications.
Knowledge of microservices architecture, including building, deploying, and maintaining distributed services.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs, relational or NoSQL databases, and basic application security practices.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly with distributed teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
