Role Description The Associate Software Quality Assurance Engineer is a full-time remote role responsible for ensuring that software products meet defined quality standards before release. Day-to-day tasks include designing and executing test cases, performing manual testing across different environments, logging and tracking defects, and collaborating with developers to resolve issues. The role involves reviewing requirements and specifications for testability, contributing to test plans, and performing regression, functional, and exploratory testing. The engineer also participates in team meetings, provides clear documentation of test results, and supports continuous improvement of QA processes and tools. Qualifications Ability to apply Software Quality, Quality Assurance, and Software Quality Assurance principles to ensure reliable and high-performing products. Hands-on experience with Manual Testing, including test case design, execution, defect reporting, and regression testing. Basic understanding of Software Development concepts to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and interpret technical requirements. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and an organized approach to testing and documentation. Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to report issues clearly and work in cross-functional remote teams. Familiarity with bug-tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail) is beneficial. Exposure to version control systems and basic scripting or automation knowledge is a plus. Relevant degree or coursework in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
