Role Description The IT Manager is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure and systems. Day-to-day tasks include managing network and server performance, monitoring system security, and ensuring reliable access to tools and applications used across the organization. The IT Manager coordinates with cross-functional teams to support technology needs, troubleshoot complex issues, and manage vendor relationships for hardware, software, and cloud services. This role also develops and updates IT policies, oversees backups and disaster recovery plans, and leads small to mid-sized technology projects from concept to deployment. The IT Manager mentors IT team members, supports process improvements, and helps align technology initiatives with business goals. Qualifications Strong skills in IT infrastructure management, including servers, networks, and cloud environments Experience with system administration, user account management, and endpoint device support Proficiency in IT security practices, including access control, monitoring, and incident response Ability to manage IT projects, prioritize tasks, and coordinate with stakeholders and vendors Skills in troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization for IT systems Familiarity with backup, recovery, and business continuity planning processes Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences Experience leading or mentoring IT staff in a collaborative, inclusive environment Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience Prior experience in an IT management or senior IT support role, especially in remote or distributed teams, is beneficial
