Role Description The Software Tester will work full time in a hybrid arrangement based in Mobile, AL, with some flexibility to work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and executing test cases, performing functional and regression testing, and validating software against requirements. The role involves identifying defects, documenting issues clearly, collaborating with developers and product teams, and retesting fixes to ensure quality. The Software Tester will participate in review sessions, help refine test processes, and contribute to continuous improvement of quality assurance practices. This position requires consistent communication with cross-functional teams to support reliable, user-focused software releases. Qualifications Strong skills in Software Testing and Test Execution to validate features and identify defects. Experience creating, maintaining, and optimizing Test Cases aligned with requirements and use cases. Knowledge of Quality Assurance practices, standards, and methodologies to support reliable releases. Well-developed Analytical Skills for troubleshooting issues and interpreting test results. Familiarity with test management tools and issue-tracking systems (e.g., Jira, TestRail, or similar). Understanding of SDLC and common development methodologies (Agile/Scrum or comparable frameworks). Effective written and verbal communication skills for clear documentation and team collaboration. Ability to work both independently and as part of a hybrid team in Mobile, AL. Relevant certification (e.g., ISTQB or equivalent) and prior experience in software testing are beneficial. Associate or bachelor�s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is an advantage.
