Role Description The Data Engineer is a full-time remote role responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure that support analytics and business intelligence needs. Day-to-day tasks include implementing and optimizing Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes, developing and maintaining data models, and managing data warehouse environments. The Data Engineer will collaborate with data analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure data is accurate, accessible, and well-documented. This role also involves monitoring data workflows, improving performance, ensuring data quality, and contributing to best practices and standards for data engineering within EgoTECHworld. Qualifications Strong skills in Data Engineering and experience building and maintaining data pipelines. Proficiency in Data Modeling and Data Warehousing concepts and practices. Hands-on experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) tools and frameworks. Ability to apply Data Analytics techniques to support reporting, dashboards, and insights. Experience with SQL and at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering (e.g., Python, Java, or Scala). Familiarity with cloud data platforms or services (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and modern data architectures. Knowledge of data quality, data governance, and security best practices. Bachelor�s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote environment. Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
