Role Description The Business System Developer is a full-time remote role responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business applications and systems that support company and client operations. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, implementing software solutions, and integrating systems with databases and third-party tools. The role involves diagnosing and troubleshooting system issues, optimizing performance, and ensuring reliability and security across platforms. The Business System Developer collaborates with project managers, analysts, and other developers to deliver projects on schedule, document system changes, and provide clear technical guidance to stakeholders. This position also contributes to continuous improvement by recommending enhancements, adopting best practices, and staying current with relevant technologies. Qualifications Strong analytical skills to interpret business needs, identify system requirements, and solve complex technical problems. Proficiency in software development, including experience with modern programming languages, frameworks, and application architectures. Hands-on experience with databases, including data modeling, querying, performance optimization, and integration with business applications. Solid troubleshooting skills to diagnose system issues, debug code, and implement effective, sustainable fixes. Project management capabilities to plan tasks, manage timelines, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and deliver solutions on schedule. Relevant experience in business systems, enterprise applications, or similar technical roles. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment. Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC), agile methodologies, version control, and documentation best practices. Experience with cloud platforms, APIs, or system integration tools is beneficial.
